Cold and rainy days are the perfect excuse to stay at home unless we are talking about going out discovering new places in town. That’s what I did a few weeks ago when I went to Fábrica da Nata for the first time. Obviously, I had to take photos and come here to share my opinion with you.

Fábrica da Nata is located in a well-known street of Porto, Rua Santa Catarina. It has many tables so I don’t think finding a table will be a problem. In the day I visited this place, there were always tables available.
The decoration of Fábrica da Nata caught my attention. In this establishment, we find a mix of modern and classic elements.

When we enter, we find the balcony where we can place our order. A funny thing is that if we want a coffee, we have to insert the money in the machine. In the same room, there are some tables where we can enjoy our order standing. It is a good choice if you’re in a hurry.

Then, we go up and in the middle of the stairs we find a space with some tables and if we continue, at the end of the stairs there is a bigger room with many tables. The place is very nice and very inviting. I stayed in a table near the windows and the light was really nice, even though it was raining a lot.

My order was very simple. I asked for a coffee and a pastel de nata. I liked this pastel de nata but my favorite pastel de nata in Porto is the one from Manteigaria do Bolhão. This one had a more liquid and sweeter cream. The coffee was ok.

I liked to visit this place but I still prefer Manteigaria do Bolhão (see my review about Manteigaria do Bolhão here) to have a coffee and a pastel de nata. Tell me if you visited any of these places and what did you think about it!
